Casting

Y Touring is an Equity/ITC approved manager and
an Equal opportunities employer

Tours
Y Touring tours productions to schools and theatres.
Cast size is usually 4 or 5 with a Company Manager/Facilitator.Tours are usually 5 or 8 weeks long with a three week rehearsal period.

When we cast
Currently Y Touring produces a minimum of three National tours/productions a year.

Tour 1 Late January - March
Casting breakdown available October
Auditions November/December

Tour 2 September - October. Casting breakdown available April/May Auditions May/June

Tour 3 October - December. Casting breakdown available August. Auditions September

Process

Stage 1
Either individuals submit their photographs and their CV's or to invite their agents to submit them on their behalf.

Stage 2
The Casting Director draws up a shortlist audition.

What to expect if you are successful

You will be invited to audition for the Artistic Director and the Associate Director. Usually this audition takes place at Y Touring's base at OneKX in the heart of Kings Cross. At your audition you will be asked to read a speech from the play that you are auditioning for and give a speech of your choice

Your audition will last approximately 10 minutes.

Stage 3
The Casting Director and the Director will shortlist up to 20 auditionees to attend a half day workshop where necessary.
Final casting will be done after this workshop
