Steamfish

For a long time now we've wanted to explore how we might use virtual worlds to complement our Theatre of Debate® productions. We started our journey with a question how can we extend the experience of our audience who attend our live performances virtually I.e. In a specially created virtual world.

Steamfish produced in partnership with the brilliant Rezzable productions is our first step on the journey to finding the answer to our question.

After seeing Starfish audiences are invited to enter Steamfish a specially created world. First they create their own character (avatar). In character they arrive on board the recently 'shipwrecked' Stella Maris.

The Story

After 318 days at sea the Stella Maris is lost at sea. Her crew must salvage what they can, survive on their wits, fight for their lives and find at the same time find cure for scurvy.

Newly arrived crew members are not completely alone in the strange world that they find themselves in, along the way they meet the first Mate, the Navigator, the Doctor and some dangerous wild animals…..
