Maurice Byrne plays Dr Brian Heath

A leading scientist, fifty. Dr Heath is a passionate, outspoken individual. He always has been, its just that up until now nobody has much cared, or listened. He is an honest, hard working man who lost his wife to cancer and has subsequently thrown himself into his work and research, instead of taking time out to mourn with his children.

Dr Yolanda Kendrick



Debden Clarke plays Dr Yolande Kendrick

Brian’s supervisor and best friend, forty eight. Yolanda has known Brian for years, they had a brief fling very early on which neither of them talk about but it’s on their minds when they are together. Yolanda adores Brian but she is also incredibly ambitious and will do anything it takes to keep her position.

Anna Heath



Kemi Bo Millar plays Anna Heath

Brian’s daughter, fifteen. Following in her father’s footsteps Anna is a passionate, outspoken environmentalist. She has thrown herself into the upkeep of the house in an attempt to keep her family together, as they silently grieve the loss of their mother/wife.

Simon Heath

Alec Parkinson plays Simon Heath

Brian’s son, nineteen. Very like his mother. Lives for the moment, regardless of the cost and consequences. Highly strung. Aware that his father is struggling financially so wanted to help pay his way – thought he could make an easy sum of money by gambling but is now in over his head, but like his father and sister keeps his cards very close to his chest.
