Controversy in the classroom – Valuable lessons

The DfES and the Wellcome Trust have funded Y Touring Theatre Company to work in partnership with Hi8us a digital media company to produce and pilot an innovative teacher training programme introducing Science Teachers to role play and interactive learning skills to engage young people in informed debate for the Science and Citizen curriculum .

The training course will be a two day split course with an online component. The course will explore the current ethical and citizenship issues arising from advances in biomedicine and introduce participants to a range of drama skills and IT resources for enraging their students in informed debate.
